Doula Services

The bag of tricks we bring with us is our willingness to be with you, our understanding of the birth process, and our total belief in the power of women.

A Doula offers continuous support at the birth of your child.

A skilled set of hands “holding the space” for you at home and/or in hospital
Nurturing and caring energy
Reduced risk of unnecessary interventions
Enhances the woman’s own strength and creative capacity to give birth

Doula Fees

Doulas:	$450-$1100 depending on experience
Trainee Doulas:	FREE!! ($150.00 referral fee payable to Birth Central)

This includes 2 visits before and one after the birth, and support at the birth. (Additional costs for more pre or postnatal visits can be discussed if required). A Doula commits to being available on the day, so is on standby for 2 weeks either side of your due date and on call 24/7 ….to offer phone support!

Postnatal Doula Care: $25.00 - $45.00 (depending on duties)
1 hour massage (in your home) $70.00
1 hour massage (at Birth Central) $60.00
Postnatal Doula sleepover: $200.00

In Hospital: Birth Centre, Labour Ward or At Home Whatever the experience you require, we support you in your decision! A booking fee to hold the time around your dates is collected, and if you choose not to ring the Doula, then the fee is not refundable.
